Pablo Baltodano Monroy (born December 12, 1980 in Mexico City) is a diplomat and Mexican politician. He serves as Consul General of Nicaragua in Mexico, a position he has held since August 1, 2007. Monroy also served as President of Consuls in Mexico in 2009. ==Life and career==
Pablo Baltodano Monroy is the son of General Alvaro Baltodano,〔(Alvaro Baltondano )〕 former Minister and Secretary of the Free Zones Corporation Government in Nicaragua who is currently a representative of the Investment Promotion Agency Pro Nicaragua.〔()〕〔http://www.nacion.com/Generales/Subsitios/Investigacion/2011/WikiLeaks/EntregaW/WIKILEAK177999.aspx〕 Baltodano family owns one of the largest coffee producing companies and solar energy power plants in Central America. His mother Eugenia Monroy Cazorla, born in Mexico City, is a biologist and is sister to Genomma Lab Internacional founder Pablo Monroy Cazorla.〔(CNN Genoma Lab )〕〔(Genoma Lab )〕 Pablo Baltodano Monroy is a diplomatic representative of his country, and supporter of immigrant rights.〔(El Estado )〕 Since 2009 he has been collaborating with the Program of Assisted Voluntary Returns International Organization for Migration, which involves the governments of Nicaragua, Mexico and El Salvador.〔http://www.inmigracionclandestina.eu/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Programa-Foro-Internacional-ACNUR-Mayo-2011.pdf〕 In March 2011 Pablo Baltodano Monroy participated with the consul of Nicaragua in Mexico to meet with ambassadors from other Central American countries to make joint efforts as the Commission on Population, Borders and Migration Affairs. The meeting emphasized that one should not stigmatize the Latino immigrant as an element of insecurity to the lives of Mexican society. On May 25, 2011, the Migration Act came into force.
